Terms & Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Canadian Down & Feather Company Inc. (CDFC) and its wholesale, trade hospitality and other business customers (Customers) who purchase goods and services from CDFC. CDFC maintains the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at anytime.

Prices
Prices are presented in Canadian or U.S. Dollars, as listed in their respective Price List and are subject to change without notice. All prices are Delivered At Place (D.A.P.) to Customers address in most circumstances, unless indicated otherwise in this agreement.

Taxes
All sales, use, excise, and other federal, provincial / state, and municipal taxes applicable to a sale shall be paid by the purchaser unless the purchaser is eligible for and submits completed tax exemption certificates to Canadian Down & Feather Company. If any such taxes are not charged at the time of purchase and are subsequently levied and/or requested by the relevant taxing authority, Customers will be required to pay such amounts retroactively.

Credit Terms
At its sole discretion, Canadian Down & Feather Company may extend credit terms to qualified Customers. Customers interested in obtaining credit terms should submit a completed Credit Application form for review. Once approved, accounts will receive terms of Net 30 days from date of invoice. No orders will be shipped on accounts with balances over 30 days. Interest of 1.5% will be charged per month to overdue accounts. Canadian Down & Feather Company requires that initial orders be prepaid or shipped on C.O.D. or Prepaid basis. For more information, please see Account / Credit Agreement. Customers who receive credit terms must pay by cheque, EFT, or direct deposit and are not eligible to pay by credit card.

Credit Card Payments
CDFC will generally accept credit card payments for all orders placed on accounts without terms. Credit cards can be kept on file and charged as orders are processed and shipped. On occasion, CDFC may choose to ship an order prior to confirming a credit card transaction approval or when a method of payment has declined. In such cases, CDFC has the right to charge the credit card on file and by providing credit card information, Customers provide implicit and explicit consent to having their credit card charged for any outstanding amounts due on the account. This includes current and past orders as well as for accounts with terms.

Minimum Order
Orders placed with Canadian Down & Feather Company must meet a minimum order value of $250.00 before taxes.

Order Process
All orders must be placed directly through CDFC’s business website, or in writing by email. Orders including custom products must be sent via email and include a purchase order number (if required), product code, product description, and quantity. Orders will not be accepted over the phone. CDFC will send an Order Confirmation and Customers should verify all product, delivery, and billing information and contact a customer service representative as soon as possible with any corrections.

Custom Orders
Canadian Down & Feather Company will produce custom product according to Customers' specifications. Customers should first speak with a customer service representative to determine the viability of the custom request, and an approximate cost associated with the same. However, an official price will only be determined once the order has been received in writing by email. If Customers wish to purchase a particular custom product on an ongoing basis, a customer service representative may be of additional assistance for pricing and availability requirements. Custom Orders cannot be changed or cancelled once production has begun.

Changes or Cancellations
Changes and/or cancellations will be considered for regular orders that have not been scheduled for production, packed and/or shipped. Changes and/or cancellations should be sent in writing by email. The decision of the request to change or cancel the order, will be communicated via email.

Shipping
Orders destined to Canada and the contiguous United States ship for free. Canadian Down & Feather Company will select a suitable carrier. In some cases, some orders may incur special delivery charges. Such charges may be applicable on orders shipped to remote regions, have specific delivery requirements, include special order items, have custom pricing, or in other situations as determined by CDFC. Canadian Down & Feather Company assumes no responsibility for duties/brokerage charges.

Returns
No returns of merchandise purchased through the wholesale/trade program will be accepted by Canadian Down & Feather Company.

Claims
Under circumstances where orders are received by customers, in which there are defects, wrong items received, improperly packaged merchandise, or other reasons for a claim, customers should contact a customer service representative for a Return Authorization No. Arrangements to return the merchandise, if necessary, will be made when a Return Authorization No. is issued. Claims without a proper Return Authorization No. and/or collect shipments will not be accepted. Claims must be filed within 15 days of receiving the order.

Warranty
Canadian Down & Feather Company's products are manufactured in accordance with the highest standards of quality and workmanship and are guaranteed to be free from manufacturing defects for a period stipulated on each of the products. For more information, customers should review the particular products' guarantee/warranty and direct any questions to a customer service representative. Warranties are valid for home and residential use and do not apply to commercial, business, and hospitality use applications.

Specifications
All sizes and weights listed in the price list are approximate and may not exactly represent the actual product. The listed specifications are for basic reference purposes only. However, Canadian Down & Feather Company will make every effort to ensure there are minimal material differences between the listed specifications and the actual product.

Distribution Restrictions
Products purchased from Canadian Down & Feather Company may not be sold online through ecommerce websites, marketplaces, third party retailers, and/or bidding/auction sites, without prior written approval. Products sold to approved customers are for resale to end consumers in physical retail environments, through in-person interior design/decorating consultation, and direct use and consumption only. Goods and products purchased from Canadian Down & Feather Company may not be redistributed in bulk or sold at wholesale without direct consent.

Marketing
All Canadian Down & Feather Company products must be represented with accuracy and under no circumstances are trademarks, branded assets, product names, product descriptions, images, and specifications to be altered. Canadian Down & Feather Company will provide customers with assets for marketing purposes and training, upon request.
